Scarlet & Violet - Twilight Masquerade Set Officially Revealed for May!

Twilight Masquerade has officially been revealed as our sixth Scarlet & Violet set!

Twilight Masquerade will include:

  • 167 cards (before secret rares)
  • Six ACE SPEC Trainer and Special Energy cards
  • Seven Pokémon ex. This includes Bloodmoon Ursaluna, Scream Tail, Iron Thorns, Sinistcha, and three other unrevealed cards.
  • Seven Tera Pokémon ex. This includes Magcargo (Fire), Greninja (Fighting), Dragapult (Dragon), and the four Ogerpon ex.
  • 21 illustration rare Pokémon
  • 11 special illustration rare Pokémon and Supporter cards
  • Six hyper rare gold etched cards
  • More than 30 Trainer cards

The set description reads as follows:

Welcome to the land of Kitakami, where people and Pokémon live harmoniously with nature. Folktales abound, but not all is as it seems… Uncover the mystery of the masked Legendary Pokémon Ogerpon, appearing as four fearsome types of Tera Pokémon ex, and team up with more newly discovered Pokémon, like Bloodmoon Ursaluna ex and Sinistcha ex. Growing in power, Greninja, Dragapult, and Magcargo dazzle as Tera Pokémon ex, and more ACE SPEC cards round out the festivities in the Pokémon TCG: Scarlet & Violet—Twilight Masquerade expansion!

Our Twilight Masquerade set will be based on March’s Crimson Haze (66 cards) and April’s Mask of Change (101 cards). The latter was revealed in Japan just moments after Twilight Masquerade dropped — a rare simultaneous reveal!

It will largely feature Pokemon introduced in The Teal Mask, such as Ogerpon, Bloodmoon Ursaluna, and Sinistcha. The set name alludes to the first two Pokemon.

It will release in stores on May 24th. Prereleases will take place from May 11th to 19th. Here is a preview of Product to come.

Twilight Masquerade will see the debut of Ogerpon, who will be wearing all of her masks as Tera Pokemon ex:

English set will also see the debut of Okidogi, Munkidori, and Fezandipiti. The Japanese set Night Wanderer will feature them as Pokemon ex; it releases in June.

Twilight Masquerade will see the release of two “Premium Checklane Blisters” featuring Kingdra and Porygon-Z from Paradox Rift. The top Evolution card of each blister pack will be holo.

Kingdra and Porygon-Z should be printed on exclusive galaxy holofoil paper, rather than the normal holofoil used for Scarlet & Violet sets.

This was also the case for the “Temporal Forces Premium Checklane Blisters” that just released:

Based on our set size, the 48 unique cards from Japan’s Battle Academy won’t release in Twilight Masquerade. Thankfully this means our set won’t be clogged up with simple Pokemon ex, as was the case with Fusion Strike and Hidden Fates. TPCi will simply release the cards in our English Battle Academy in June.
